The Heritage of Excellence

Grand Liberty Cattery was founded in Krasnodar in 2005 and relocated to Germany in 2019. Our vision remains unchanged: to breed British Shorthair cats of exceptional quality in rare, classic colors. Over the past two decades, the cattery has grown from a passionate endeavor into one of the most respected British Shorthair programs.

My name is Irina Yakovleva, and I have dedicated my life to the British Shorthair breed. Every kitten that leaves Grand Liberty carries my personal commitment to its health, temperament, and future well-being. I don't breed for volume — I breed for excellence.

Our philosophy is simple: health first, followed by the happiness and beauty of our pets. All our breeding cats undergo comprehensive genetic testing (PKD, HCM) and regular veterinary examinations. We believe that a truly beautiful cat must first be a healthy cat.

Every kitten is raised in our home — not in cages or kennel blocks. From day one, they are surrounded by human contact, household sounds, children, and other pets. This creates the calm, confident, and affectionate temperament that is the hallmark of a true British Shorthair.

Our Core Values

We believe every kitten deserves a loving, forever home. Our breeding philosophy centers on health first, temperament second, and beauty always.

Health First

All breeding cats are DNA-tested for PKD and HCM. Regular veterinary checkups and vaccinations ensure every kitten starts life healthy.

Home Raised

No cages, no kennel blocks. Our cats and kittens live in our home, fully integrated into family life from birth.

Lifetime Support

When you take a Grand Liberty kitten, you gain a lifetime partner. We're always available for advice and support.

Rare Color Varieties

We focus on classic, genetically pure British Shorthair colors that are rarely found at this quality level.

Blue

The iconic British Shorthair color: dense blue-grey coat with deep copper eyes.

Black

Deep jet-black coat with a plush, dense texture and striking copper or gold eyes.

Chocolate

Rich milk-chocolate coat, a rare and highly sought-after color in British Shorthairs.

Cinnamon

Warm reddish-brown tone, one of the rarest colors in the breed.

Lilac

Soft dove-grey with a warm pinkish undertone, paired with vivid copper eyes.

White (Odd-eyed)

Pure white with one blue and one yellow/gold eye. A breathtaking combination.
